Overview and Objective
Colors of Art and Cultures is a program of Evangeline a non profit organization. Evangeline seeks to advance the human spirit by creating programs and services that uplifts physical, mental, emotional, financial, and overall wellbeing of disparate individuals and communities through the delivery of evidenced based programming and opportunities for creative expression and progression.
Evangeline envisions a world where all individuals are regarded as necessary and integral components of the advancement of humanity and the culture of our society. As this revelation within individuals is often clouded by socio-economic disparities, helping environments that create opportunities for self-awareness, ongoing development and equity in all walks of life are integral if inner gifts are to be discovered, embraced and shared. By supporting opportunities for engagement of various cultures through the integration of art, education, socialization and service-prejudices and disparities are replaced with the intimacy of knowledge.

The Program
Everyone deserves Art and this program is designed and has a goal to eliminating social isolation, bullying, homophobia, trans-phobia, garnering esprit de corps, entertainment and educational enrichment. Colors of Art and Culture will seek out individuals, companies, and organizations that are owned, operated, created, or developed, by someone of the LGBTQQIA community that deals in any creative art forms and cultures of the community. These arts are but not limited to dance, theater, music, writing, female and/or male illusionist, festivals, art galleries, and anything that falls under the definition of Arts. {ARTS: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty, enjoyment or emotional power.} Colors will create opportunities to display and/or showcase these talented individuals such as pageants, festivals, galleries, and anything that the public can be invited to enjoy and see equality and eliminate the hate culture. Colors will also select and sponsor or donate funds to individuals, organizations, or companies that development these same opportunities that fit the Colors of Art and Culture programs objectives.
Why We Care
Since the evidence base for the benefits of the arts is continually developing and evolving, our investigations in this area have been fairly expansive. We began by grounding our work in the concept of wellbeing and emerging, interdisciplinary field study in social sciences centering on holistic definition of individual and societal health -to look at the impact of the arts across multiple dimensions of human life. We wanted to better understand how other sectors define and measure wellbeing and quality of life, and how arts and culture might fit into these existing frameworks. This foundational investigation led to a subsequent inquiry into the following questions:
What are particular claims to the benefits of arts participation?
Does the majority of available evidence support each claim?
How strong is the quality of evidence?

What We Know
}We are highly confident that:
Participatory arts activities help to maintain the health and quality of life of older adults. There is evidence that singing improves mental health and subjective wellbeing; taking dance classes bolsters cognition and motor skills; dancing and playing a musical instrument reduce the risk of dementia; and visual arts generate increases in self-esteem, psychological health, and social engagement.
Arts therapies contribute to positive clinical outcomes, such as reduction in anxiety, stress, and pain for patients. Music interventions tend to dominate studies in this area, mostly characterized by passive forms of participation (e.g., listening to music).
Arts participation in early childhood promotes social and emotional development. For example, teachers report fewer instances of shy, aggressive, and anxious behavior among preschoolers taking dance classes, and toddlers receiving music instruction demonstrate increased social cooperation with other children.
Student participation in structured arts activities enhances cognitive abilities and social skills that support learning, such as memory, problem-solving, and communication. (While arts participation may improve academic attainment as well, any effects are fairly small. Traditional scholastic measures such as standardized tests and grades have produced mixed evidence.)
With the support of Colors of Arts & Culture we will create positive results that builds and support Evangeline’s core values and push our base motto for Colors which is Simple L.S. {Love Someone}
